good afternoon everyone, i'm michelle griego. frank is on assignment. and we begin with the breaking news in oakland. anened ground fire has been turn -- an underground fire has been burning all morning. east of mcarthur boulevard not far from holy redeemer college. kpix 5's cate caugurian says we just learned the fire is now out. >> reporter: michelle that's right. there's some good news there. pg&e just said they were able to stop that gas leak about a half hour ago. we do have some better shots from kpix 5 chopper and you can take a look. pg&e says they will now continue to investigate the cause of the leak and then they plan on replacing that pipe. we did speak with the man who lives right in front of where the flames first erupted. >> everyone knows about san bruno. and i can't help think of that. and so -- i'm freaking out. >> reporter: james says he got a knock on his door just before 8:30 this morning. his neighbors told him his front lawn was on fire. he called # 11 and oakland firefighters determined the fire was from a natural gas leak. pg&e
